Mehmet Emre Toktay

Hello, I am Mehmet Emre Toktay. To briefly introduce myself; I am a progressive person who is interested in customer experience, data, and statistics. In terms of education, I recently completed my master's degree in business administration with a thesis at Istanbul Arel University. I have already started looking into doctoral programs. If you are serious about my professional background, you can take me here.

In my professional life, I have had the opportunity to work in various fields, from tourism to business intelligence expertise. When I realized that the working conditions in tourism were not suitable for me, I chose to turn to statistics and data, which are my areas of interest. Initially, I was accepted through an interview into the non-thesis master's program in Statistics at Istanbul University. After completing the master's courses there, I transitioned to an MBA program at Istanbul Arel University where I could write a thesis (my desire was to do a master's degree with a thesis in statistics, but unfortunately, this was not possible due to my undergraduate degree being in tourism under Turkey's educational conditions). I completed my MBA thesis on Lean Six Sigma, a topic on which industrial engineers and statisticians often conduct academic research, defying the system.

I believe that academic studies should be blended with professional experience and should focus on areas that can make a difference with the realities of the business world. Therefore, in my work, I aimed to see the applicability of customer experience together with the Lean Six Sigma methodology. You can access the shortened detailed version of this relatively successful project here.

Interdisciplinary development is a topic that truly excites me. I believe it will bring me unique success and satisfaction in my career/academic life. The intersection of data science, process improvement, and customer experience is an area that really excites me.

I have hobby projects related to this intersection. You can review a few of my studies here;

Target-Based Sentiment Analysis for Voice of the Customer, a critical point of Customer Experience and LSS

DBSCAN Clustering Algorithm for Customer Experience and Customer Segmentation

Apart from the serious part, manga, gaming, dogs and mathematics are topics that interest me. I am an enthusiastic console player.

You can contact me regarding any topic you desire. If I think I can contribute to your non-profit volunteer projects that pique my interest, I would love to be involved. Being curious about learning, most projects will interest me.
